1 of 13What question are you asked the most when you tell someone you're a blogger/content creator?
“But what do you do to make money?”
2 of 13How do brands find you?
Typically through my Instagram page, but also through other social media platforms
3 of 13Is there anything that you believe a brand should know before they begin reaching out to influencers?
Do your research. Find influencers who take their job seriously and approach them as such. Catering to the lowest common denominator in order to save money only creates a bad final product for you and a bad name for the industry of influencer marketing.
4 of 13What one tool for your content or your business can you not live without?
My phone, I need it for social access and content creation
5 of 13How do you decide how much to charge a brand?
How much time goes into the work and how much benefit I feel I can offer
6 of 13What was the biggest challenge you had to overcome when starting out?
Comparing myself to people who had been doing it for much longer than I had.
7 of 13How do you personally keep your content true to your voice while also delivering value to a brand?
Only taking on jobs that mesh with my personality and my interests. My audience know me for me, not a version of me that I’m presenting in order to be “impressive”.
8 of 13What is the biggest challenge you face now that you have an established audience?
There’s still a level of comparison, but ultimately it’s educating brands to the value of my product.
9 of 13How did you grow your audience when you started out?
Consistency. 2 posts a day. New content every day. Being real with my audience.
10 of 13What helps you maintain your motivation to continue creating content?
The creative aspect of content creation is my favorite part about my job, so I look forward to always trying to create something fresh and interesting.
11 of 13What's the one piece of advice you would give to someone just starting out in content creation?
Understand that in order to build a real audience, it takes time and continued effort. Try not to compare your day 1 to someone else’s year 5.
12 of 13What is your most defining piece of content in your opinion? Why?
It’s not one specific piece. It’s my Instagram feed. I purposely leave all of my past posts up so that if someone can go back and see the progression of my quality. No one starts out great. You have to learn and build.
13 of 13What brands would you most like to work with?
Nike, Tom Ford, Gucci
